Coöperatie Hoogstraten has published its first voluntary CSRD report. Entitled “Harvesting the Future Together”, the report outlines how the Cooperative is creating sustainable value today for growers, employees, customers and society at large.
The report shows that sustainability is not a separate project, but an integral part of our strategy. In addition to tangible results in the areas of climate, the circular economy, water, employees and good governance, Coöperatie Hoogstraten also highlights Home of Knowledge: its own dedicated theme that puts knowledge sharing, innovation and collaboration at the heart of efforts to drive a future-proof horticultural sector.
“The future does not grow by itself.
It takes people who dare
to build it together.”
Tangible steps forward
In 2025, together with our growers, employees, customers and partners, we once again made tangible progress. We reduced our Scope 1 and 2 emissions by almost 30%, and we now have primary data from our growers covering 69.6% of our product volume. This marks an important step towards greater transparency throughout our value chain. We also increased the proportion of recycled content in our retail packaging from 58% to 67%. At the same time, we continued to invest in innovation, knowledge sharing, digitalisation and future-oriented logistics to make both our Cooperative and our growers better equipped to meet the challenges of tomorrow.

A conscious choice for transparency
With this first CSRD report, the Cooperative is making a conscious commitment to transparency and progress. It not only provides insight into today’s performance, but also sets out the direction for tomorrow: working together to build a strong, innovative and sustainable fruit and vegetable value chain.
